Optical Isolators

Optical isolators of Fibrain Directivity family are passive, 2-port optical devices that allow for transmission of light only in one direction. Standard Fibrain isolators are insensitive to polarization. Optical isolators are used to reduce the amount of reflected and backscattered optical power propagating in the link, securing the receiver from damage and potential instabilities. The isolators are available in single stage and dual stage versions and in versions optimized for 1310, 1490, 1550, and 1590 nm windows. They are delivered with a report containing attenuation and isolation values in the operation bandwidth. A wide range of fiber connectors is available.
